Shining a light on mouth cancer | Bupa

Working with Bupa Dental Care we launched a national media campaign during Mouth Cancer Awareness Month to highlight the vital role dentists play in early detection of this lesser-known cancer.

Description

Our campaign was designed to highlight the importance of routine dental examinations in early detection of critical illnesses including mouth cancer  We onboarded Jay Aston, the singer best known for her role with the iconic band, Bucks Fizz, who had symptoms of mouth cancer identified during a routine dental appointment. Jay shared her powerful story of early diagnosis and the role this played in tackling her cancer treatment and recovery.  

In partnership with The Mouth Cancer Foundation, we shared personal case studies of people who had experienced oral cancer along with expert guidance on warning signs.

The campaign generated coverage in the Express, The Sun, Huffington Post, and Unilad, raising public awareness and reinforcing Bupa’s reputation as a champion of proactive healthcare.
